William Mills

Events and Communications Coordinator

I joined Reform in September 2018 as Events and Communications Coordinator, from the not-for-profit sector where I held various positions, latterly in communications and external affairs. My role at Reform centres around delivering a portfolio of policy events a year and supporting the delivery of  the think tank’s communications strategy, ensuring the organisation is heard right across the UK public policy debate. Before work, I studied Criminology at Durham University, which sparked my interest in social policy and using communications to try and create change. I have also volunteered for a Drug and Alcohol charity across the UK and Europe.

My spare time is mostly taken up by talking about cricket in the winter and trying to play it in the summer, alongside cooking, fishing and dance music (from time to time).

My favourite Reformer is…

Professor Fiona Measham, from Durham University, for establishing the first ever Inside Out prison education programme in the UK and The Loop Drug and Alcohol Charity.

What makes you get out of bed in the morning?

Two cups of coffee.
