The Government and Bank of England responded swiftly to the crisis with a package of measures designed to put the economy on life support while lockdown measures were in place. Questions remain as to whether consumer spending will rebound, especially with the recent introduction of a tiered approach, placing many areas under harsher restrictions.  Rebooting the UK economy will also depend on actions taken globally, where even before the pandemic the situation was uncertain. Whilst economic uncertainty remains, this webinar will also explore how we might capitalise on some of the more transformative opportunities that this crisis has exposed.

Reform was delighted to host this In Conversation with Andy Haldane, Chief Economist, Bank of England. This event discussed the current economic response to coronavirus and the long-term implications this crisis will have for the UK.

This event was also livestreamed on Reform's YouTube channel.
