In conversation with Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester Combined Authority

Reform was delighted to host Reimagining the Local State, a one-day conference exploring the challenges faced by local communities, identifying the inventive solutions that have already begun to emerge, and discussing the radical policies which could help to promote the emergence of a wholly new approach to government and self-governance.

As part of this conference, we had the pleasure of hosting Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester Combined Authority for an in conversation event. He explored his vision for Manchester, what devolution can do to change the lives of communities, and what local government can do that Whitehall can't.
