Women in Public Services: Leaders Driving Change

Maria Miller MP, Chair, Women and Equalities Select Committee
Tuesday 7th May 2019, 11:00
- 12:30

A century after the first women got the vote and the right to stand for election, women have more of a public voice in politics and policy-making than ever. Progress is being made towards greater gender equality, but women leaders are still in the minority across public services. Of the 41 House of Commons Select Committees, just nine have female Chairs, and just six of the 43 police forces in England and Wales have a female Chief Constable.

Confirmed speakers:

  • Maria Miller MP, Chair, Women and Equalities Select Committee
  • Rebecca George OBE, Lead Partner, Government and Public Services, Deloitte
  • Joan Saddler OBE, Co-chair, NHS Equality and Diversity Council
