Reform is delighted to be hosting a panel event at the Conservative Party Conference in partnership with University of Leicester.
The UK is well on track to becoming a global superpower in the space sector, which underpinned 15% of our economic activity in 2020 and is set to keep growing. Our technologists and astrophysicists consistently make ground-breaking discoveries, while our commercial space sector has achieved internationally significant milestones in satellite communications and earth observation technologies.
Attention is rightly turning to the best ways to harness this British success story and use innovation in science and technology to address domestic challenges.
Reform is delighted to hold this panel with George Freeman MP, Minister for Science, Research and Innovation; Rt Hon Lord Willetts, Chair of the UK Space Agency; Suzie Imber, Professor of Space Physics, University of Leicester; and Professor Richard Ambrosi, Director, Space Park Leicester to discuss how to capitalise on the UK’s leading space sector.
This panel will be held outside of the Secure Zone at Manchester Art Gallery, approximately five minute walk away.
This event is kindly sponsored by University of Leicester.
This is a public event and we would be delighted to see you there. If you would like to attend, please email events@reform.uk
