Government faces three interlocking challenges: continuing pandemic-related backlogs, increasing demand, and inflation-hit departmental settlements. With the public finances under acute pressure, government must find new, more efficient ways to deliver public services, with innovation in policy design and delivery key to unlocking greater value. From redesigning end-to-end processes, to harnessing data and technologies, to intelligently shaping productive organisations, there is huge potential to work differently and deliver better outcomes for citizens at lower cost.
Reform is delighted to welcome Cat Little, Second Permanent Secretary, HM Treasury, to lead this private roundtable and discuss her thinking on how to maximise the value of public spending, build cross-government efficiency and effectively meet citizens’ expectations.
This private roundtable will be held under the Chatham House rule. This roundtable is kindly supported by Newton Europe.
