Rt Hon Jo Johnson MP, Minister of State for Universities

Securing value for money for students in higher education

April saw the passage of the Higher Education and Research Act (2017), the most significant legislation since 1992. It set out an ambitious plan for Higher Education reform, driving up quality, improving student information and choice, and improving access to universities. As Minister of State for Universities, the Rt Hon Jo Johnson MP is leading the implementation of these ambitious plans.

We were delighted to host the Minister who shared his vision of a higher education sector that delivers real value for money for students. This speech could not be more timely, with live debates about tuition fees and value for money – in a context of minority government and constrained public finances.

The event took place on Thursday 20 July 2017 at 09:45am for 10:00am –11:00am in London.
