The quality of political parties’ own policy making, culminating in manifestos for General Election, matters a great deal for the eventual quality and relevance of legislation and regulations. Some current politicians are asking how to update the policy making process. They rightly want a process which is more likely to deliver manifestos that are well-founded, reform-minded and directly relevant to the most important issues facing the country.
Reform was delighted to host this breakfast event, led by Chris Skidmore MP, Vice Chairman for Policy, Conservative Party who presented his latest ideas. The event brought together senior businesses and friends of Reform. It was held under Chatham House Rule.
