Reform was delighted to convene a speech by The Rt Hon David Lidington CBE MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. Around 100 attendees, including senior policy-makers, public service leaders and business leaders, were at the event.
While Brexit dominates the headlines, the most important issue to voters at present is a public service, the NHS. (Crime and education are the three and fifth most important issues respectively.) The ideas that will shape next year’s Spending Review are already under discussion in Whitehall, from the new opportunities of technology to greater devolution to new ideas on public-private partnership. These issues are at the heart of Reform’s work as well as being of interest to leading Ministers and Shadow Ministers.
