Prison policy: delivery and reform

Prisons policy is one of the most interesting areas of public service reform at present.  In the short term, new prison regimes and technology offer opportunities to deliver safe prison environments.  In the longer term, the challenge of reducing re-offending leads to the exciting prospect of joined-up efforts across government and across different parts of the criminal justice system.
