The UK Government deserves great credit for its visionary efforts to transform public services and the central government departments. The Government’s Transformation Strategy aims to marry that vision with the individual steps needed to overhaul current practice and redesign services to fit with consumer needs. The Strategy regarded data as ‘critical to delivering many essential services’ and outlined some of the key changes that need to occur to embed a ‘digital-by-default’ approach.
Reform is delighted to convene this high-level policy roundtable, led by Kevin Cunnington, Director General, Government Digital Service, to generate ideas on the practical steps that can accelerate the transformation of government. This event will bring together around 20 attendees, including senior policy-makers, public service leaders and business leaders. It is being held under Chatham House Rule.
