Leading the world: the role of government in emerging technology

The UK has long been a science and technology superpower, but government has lagged behind when it comes to adopting emerging technologies itself. There is a double dividend from making the most of advancing tech: a more efficient, resilient, and future-proofed government machine, and a clear message to investors and technologists that the UK is the place to innovate and do business.

Reform was delighted to be joined by Paul Scully MP, Minister for Tech and Digital Economy for the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology to explore the role of government both as an adopter and an enabler of emerging technologies.

This private roundtable will be held in-person and will take place under the Chatham House rule. This event is kindly supported by Fujitsu.
