Baroness Nicola Blackwood

Driving the UK's leadership in vaccine research and innovation

This event will provide a follow-up on the recent release of our timely Reformer Thoughts publication of the same name which can be found here. The publication brought together a series of articles from leading experts to discuss the future of vaccine research in the UK, including Baroness Blackwood who brings a wealth of experience as former Minister for Innovation in the Department for Health and Social Care. The vaccines market has become one of the most crucial and topical sectors within the Life Sciences industry, with the UK leading the global implementation of a vaccine for COVID-19. This online roundtable will discuss what steps the UK should take to ensure it has a clear strategy to maintain its leadership in the global vaccines market, through cross-sector collaboration, investment into innovation and a transparent evaluation process for new vaccines.

The roundtable will be held under Chatham House Rule. This event is sponsored by Sanofi who has had no input over the agenda, invitees or output.
