Technology is transforming public service delivery. In April last year, Rishi Sunak MP highlighted “digital services and the vital role they play in delivering more efficient and effective services”. Local government is leading this exciting transformation, with councils rolling out digital self-service for citizens, cutting processing times and freeing up more time for their staff to spend on the frontline. There is still potential to go further in digital delivery, enabling staff to work in new ways, increasing productivity and reducing operational costs for local authorities.
This event brought together stakeholders from both local and central government, policymakers and private sector experts, for a timely discussion of ideas and best practices around the use of new technologies in local public service delivery.
The event consisted of a roundtable discussion, bringing together around 20 attendees.
