Data-Driven Public Services

Public services are swimming in data. Collecting, analysing and sharing this information effectively is critical for transforming services to fit user needs. Michael Barber’s 2017 Public Value Review highlighted that “there should be no excuse for not having good data to enabling effective monitoring of the outcomes programmes are delivering.” Digitised, data-drivien services will enable more flexible, user-centric services that transform outcomes.

Reform was delighted to host this roundtable, led by Joanna Davinson, Chief Digital, Data and Technology Officer at the Home Office, to explore how public sector organisations can enhance service delivery through better use of data, the challenges to achieving this, and how these challenges can best be overcome. This roundtable was held under the Chatham House Rule.
