Reform held a roundtable at the Conservative Party conference on the skills the country needs to succeed in the global market, led by the Rt Hon Anne Milton MP, Minister of State for Apprenticeships and Skills and Minister for Women. Further education and apprenticeships will have a crucial role to place in this, and attendees will share and discuss their ideas about how skills provision can best meet the needs of both employers and learners.
The event brought together a mix of frontline public sector expertise, central bodies and the private sector. Apprenticeships and further education are fundamental to closing the current skills gap so this discussion could not be more timely.
The event took place under the Chatham House and was held in partnership with NOCN:
