Building modern public services; delivering digital transformation at scale

Technology is underpinning Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service’s (HMCTS) efforts to build a modern courts and tribunals system, enabling processes to be streamlined, savings to be realised and, crucially, a more user-friendly system to be achieved.

Drawing lessons from the HMCTS’ successful digitisation programme, this roundtable will explore the benefits of digital transformation, as well as the route to overcoming key barriers to change. As government looks to reboot its digital transformation agenda and improve services for citizens, this discussion will enable best practice to be shared, and opportunities for further public sector digital innovation to be identified.

The roundtable was held under the Chatham House Rule.
